How do I know Alyssa? Well, from the day that I met her it was love at first sight ( as I was there shortly after she was born!) That was the day I learned that I would love that little baby MY ENTIRE LIFE!

I am ever so thankful that God brought her into my life. She is my SISTER! Not by blood but of the HEART. If I could pick ANYONE in the world to be my sister I would choose Alyssa EVERYTIME.

Watching her grow into the young lady she is now has been one of my greatest joys in life. I can remember babysitting when she was little and I was in college. If she was fussy you could put on Disney’s Aladdin ( the one with Robin Williams) and she would watch for HOURS without a peep. She would start to fuss again when the movie was OVER. (I thanked the good Lord for the rewind button many times!) Playing for hours with a sticker book because she was hot. Picture if you would, Alyssa in diapers and me in shorts and t Shirt. “One for you, One for me!” We BOTH were covered in stickers from head to toe!

Watching her grow and holding my breath when she fell looking back makes me smile. Knowing those falls were lessons and the tears I would dry.

We have grown up together in so many ways. I was in my 20’s when Alyssa graced my life. I don’t know if I would be the person I am with out her. She taught me how to Love Unconditionally. LORD KNOWS she taught me patience.

Blake, You are getting the love of my life and a peace of my heart. She is stubborn, hard headed, smart, kind and caring. All these things and MORE are what make me love her SO MUCH. Welcome to this CRAZY thing that I call my family. We might not be BLOOD but Family is Family and I am LUCKY to have you both.
